Course Fees & Payment Options
Option 1 - Group Training Course (£1400.00)
This is the most popular course and not just because of the price. It's conducted by John and Arthur in small groups both in class and in car. Each have 20+ years of Instructor Training. It's less intense than the 1-to-1 Bespoke Course but offers just as much. A lot of Trainees like this as they can sit back, listen and learn from others. All you need to do is make yourself available for the first week. The extra training that will be required is arranged imore flexibly to suit individuals.
Option 2 - Bespoke 1-to-1 Training Course (£1800.00)
If you don't like the idea of learning in a small group - don't worry. John and Arthur run 1-to-1 training courses just for you. What's more you don't need to book a week off. The training is more flexible and we can work around your commitments.
Payment Options - to secure a place on the course we ask for 3 equal payments with the deposit securing your place.
If you are struggling with initial outlay, we can help. We would need a 50% deposit and then you can pay monthly over 12 months. The Group Training Course being £90.00 per month. The Bespoke Course being £110.00. It works out a little more but may make it more affordable!
In order to train you must:
• Have held a full UK licence for at least 3 years
• Have not been banned from driving in the last 4 years
• Have no more than 6 points on your licence
• Be a ‘fit and proper’ person (in the opinion of the DVSA)
• Pass a DBS (Enhanced Level Disclosure and Barring Service) check - Formally known as a CRB Check.
The training course has 3 parts and you need to pass 3 tests in order to become a fully qualified and Approved Driving Instructor.
Part 1 – ADI Theory Test
This test is made up of 2 parts: Multiple Choice Questions and Hazard Perception.
Part 2 – ADI Driving Test
This test is essentially an advanced driving test. The set up is similar to the current driving test for learners, however the test is longer and more thorough.
Part 3 – ADI Instructional Ability Test
This is the final hurdle in becoming a driving instructor! The exam consists of 2 half hour driving lessons on subjects chosen by your examiner. It is set out as a role-play scenario, whereby your examiner will play the role of a learner driver and assess your ability to teach them.
